Filipino Garlic Rice
Filipino style rice with dal (fusion food!)
I saw this post on Peachkins blog a while back http://peachkitchen.blogspot.com/2009/07/milkfish-belly-fish-steak-and-garlic.html
if you haven't been on her blog its great, and she has a gorgeous baby girl LOL
So I made it last night as I wanted something very quick, I added my own touch to it
Girlichef made a cool blog award recently to give to blogs, that you feel has tasty food so I want to give it to peachkins
Ingredients:
- 6 cloves garlic
- canola oil
- 1-2 tablespoon fish sauce
- Soy sauce
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 tomato
- peas
- 1 cup of cooked rice
Method:
- cook the rice, and side aside, I use a rice cooker
- saute the garlic in oil, I use my Provencal garlic grater, add frozen peas, and egg, scramble
- then add tomato
- add the rice a little at a time with fish sauce and soy sauce and its done!
This was so quick and tasty great for busy week nights.
