Red Cabbage and Vegetable Noodles
Heres a lovely vegetable noodle dish you can put together in no time, its has a delicate flavor and lovely color with the red/purple cabbage. I love meals like this when I don't have much time and want a quick and nutritious meal and the little one loves noodles.
Ingredients:
- a small pack of Chinese egg noodles
- 1/2 a zucchini thinly sliced
- 1/4 of a small red cabbage thinly sliced
- 1/2 a yellow squash thinly sliced
- one small carrot thinly sliced
- 1/2 a red onion thinly sliced
- one teaspoon of ginger/garlic paste
- a dash of sesame oil
- 1-2 tablespoon of soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon of oyster sauce
- one teaspoon of 5 spice
Method:
- saute the vegetable in a wok in a little canola oil, ginger/garlic paste, a dash of sesame oil and 5 spice till al dente about 5-7 on a high heat
- meanwhile cook the noodles
- add soy sauce and oyster sauce and toss in the noodles
- and enjoy :-)
