Miso Marinated Chicken (tori misoyaki)
This wonderful recipe was inspired by a conversation on twitter I asked if folks had more recipes using miso and someone tweeted this to me ;-) and in the process I discovered another awesome blog for Japanese recipes - Just Bento
Ingredients:
- 4 pieces of chicken I used thighs
- 1/2 teaspoon sugar
- 2 tablespoon sake
- 2 tablespoon miso
Method:
- mix miso, sake and sugar together and cover chicken with it
- marinate overnight
- cook on a grill pan i used cast iron for about 4 minutes each side allow it to brown
- then transfer to an oven and broil for a another 10 minutes or longer until cooked.
Serve with rice and vegetables or add to your bento box :-)
