Dragon Fruit Smoothie
The color of this smoothie is so fun, I found little individual servings of dragon fruit in the store's frozen section that are perfect for making smoothies you can also find the whole fruits.
Dragon fruit is also known as pitaya, pitahaya, and strawberry pear and is from Mexico and Central America it can be white, purple, or yellow. It grows on a cactus. It is rich in antioxidants like flavonoids, phenolic acid, and betacyanin, it tastes great and the seeds can be eaten.
To make the smoothie simply mix Greek yogurt about 4 tablespoons, one banana, and a pack of frozen dragon fruit purée and blend with a dash of water. This makes enough for 2 medium glasses. Garnish with edible flowers, these are wild violets.
