Lebanese Spiced Meatballs and Potato Stew

When we visit other cities and there are fun restaurants and global food stores I always pop in and try some new spices. I got a Lebanese 7 spice blend the other day, and came up with this recipe. I really enjoyed. 


Lebanese spiced meatball, butternut squash and potato stew


Ingredients 


- 4 medium potatoes diced 

- a cup of diced butternut squash 

- 2 cloves of garlic 

- 1/2 an onion chopped 

- Lebanese 7 spice about 2 teaspoon 

- salt to taste 

- a can of tomatoes

- about 2 tablespoons of tomato purée and about a cup of water 

- a handful of chopped parsley 

- one package of minced beef 


Method 

1. Add onion, garlic and parsley and spices to minced beef make into meatballs and cook in olive oil for about 10 min 

2. Meanwhile mostly cook the potatoes and squash 

3. Then add to the meatballs with a can of tomatoes and water, a little salt, tomato purée to make a sauce and simmer for 20 min.
